95 Points - Janme Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion
"Fragrant and lithe in structure with attractive bright crimson colours, cranberry, redcurrant herb garden, star anise aromas, supple textures, underlying oak complexity, mid- palate inkiness and persistent mineral freshness."

Variety and Provenance:
100% BAROSSA VALLEY MATARO Georgiadis Estate, Dorrien and Schiller Vineyard, Light Pass Barossa Valley
Vintage Notes:
A relatively dry warm growing season resulted in near perfect ripening conditions, despite frost events in mid-to-late Spring.
Vinification:
In open stainless-steel vats. Partial whole bunch fermentation with regular pumping over and pigeage to optimise colour and flavour without over-extraction.
Maturation:
After around 10 days of post fermentation maceration, the wine was pressed off and racked into a combination of seasoned and new (10%) French oak barriques for 16 months to allow the fruit to develop richness, volume and complexity. A further year’s bottle age to bring completeness.
